FORces Logistics Northants is a new, free, initiative for members of the Military Family: Service Leavers, Veterans, Dependents of serving personnel, and members of the Cadet Forces. The scheme aims to:
- Help service leavers successfully transition to civilian careers in the logistics sector that make best use of all the skills and expertise they have gained while in the Armed Forces;
- Help veterans and service dependents (partners and children) to get new careers in logistics that recognise their education and work experience;
- Help cadets aged 16 – 18 understand the many exciting northantapprenticeship opportunities available in the logistics sector that will enable them to use the skills and training they have gained in the Cadets.
FORces Logistics Northants will support you with work experience opportunities, CV development, interview practice and introductions to companies offering careers. Remember, the service is free!
As well as finding out about careers in Logistics, the scheme provides help with accessing housing, health and education services within Northamptonshire.
Who runs FORces Logistics Northants?
The scheme is run by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum and eight local businesses, supported by The University of Northampton. Advice is provided by industry experts and veterans that are working in the logistics sector; people that have made the transition from the military to the civilian world.
FORces Logistics Northants is running NOW. You can also have a personal discussion with the scheme coordinator, Charlotte Patrick, email her on email@example.com to make an appointment.
